Remote Learning

What is Remote Learning?

Remote education is when pupils are expected to learn at home. This is when the closed has to be partially or fully closed with restricted access to pupils e.g. severe weather conditions, Coronavirus outbreak.

Remote Learning is delivered to enable pupils to have access to the same curriculum as we do in school.

In the event of a full or partial closure to the school, Microsoft Teams will be used to host the delivery of remote learning to pupils. All classes in school are in a Microsoft Team and will have been taught how to access the platform.

At times, learning will be shared through the Bromcom platform which is used weekly for communication home including the setting of Home Learning for pupils.

If a pupil is ‘recovering from a short-term infectious illness, preparing for or recovering from an operation, or is recovering from injuries where attendance might inhibit recovery,’ and is able to learn, please contact the main office and request learning for the short term.

Please note that this is not an alternative to a pupil attending school.
