KS2 Results

Summary of the National Curriculum Assessment Results

Following their absence due to Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021, KS2 assessments returned in 2022.  The school’s outcomes for 2022 and 2023 are shared below. The school received external validation for its writing practices through moderation in June 2023.

KS2 assessments take place in May of year 6 and due to the nature of the three-tier education system, the majority of our pupils’ KS2 curriculum learning journey is completed in first schools. OFSTED’s Education Inspection Framework acknowledges that pupils at middle schools, on average, have lower progress scores at the end of KS2 than pupils at primary schools.  As a consequence, we use GL assessments to validate our curriculum and assess the progress our pupils make in their time with us.  More information is available here
