59 year 7 and year 8 pupils departed for the Sports Tour 2019 in Sotogrande in the early hours of Wednesday morning, much to the delight of their parents, waving them off with enthusiasm.
The flight to Malaga went smoothly and it was lovely to hear members of the public comment on the excellent behaviour of the pupils once we touched down on Spanish soil.
A quick supermarket sweep for lunch (it seems McDonald's was the flavour of the day) followed our flight and we were soon checked into our hotel by the afternoon. A quick dip in the pool energised some pupils, as others seemed content to play touch rugby using a flip-flop as a substitute for the ball.
Evening activities consisted of Ten-pin bowling (barriers down much to the dismay of a few novices) and then back to the hotel for a pasta buffet; carb loading for the exciting day and sporting activity that awaits in Gibraltar tomorrow.
